Accessibility statement

Round Table 39 Kitzbühel wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible – regardless of disability, age or technical equipment. We provide this statement voluntarily: as a private association we are not legally obliged to do so, but we consider transparency a matter of course.

Current status

This website has been built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA from the outset. Based on our own assessment, the requirements are largely met. "Largely" means: the points listed below are still open or have not been conclusively tested.

What is already in place

  • Full keyboard operability, visible focus indication and a "Skip to content" link.
  • Colour contrasts meeting AA requirements – verified for all text and interactive elements, including the coloured areas of the Duck Race page.
  • Meaningful heading structure, labelled form fields and error messages that lead to the field concerned.
  • Alternative texts for informative images; purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
  • The site works without JavaScript and respects the "reduce motion" system setting.
  • Responsive layout: content remains usable at up to 400 % zoom without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

  • Image descriptions in the gallery: our event photos currently carry meaningful but generic alternative texts (such as "Duck Race Kitzbühel 2018 – photo 12"). They state occasion and year but do not describe the individual motif in detail.
  • Historical content: older photos were taken over from the previous website; their image quality and depth of description can only be improved to a limited extent.
  • Testing: no audit by an external body and no systematic screen reader testing by affected users has taken place so far. Our statements are based on a self-assessment.

How this statement was prepared

This statement was prepared in July 2026. It is based on a self-assessment by SOFTCON Digital Solutions Partner, who built this website for the club on a voluntary basis. The assessment covered keyboard operation, focus order, colour contrasts (calculated using the WCAG formula), heading structure, alternative texts and behaviour with reduced motion.
